I painted this little white mouse to symbolize the 4 mice I had loved and lost.  Surrounded by a kaleidoscope of blooming flowers in shades of pink, white, and yellow, I wanted to represent their sweetness and the transience and vulnerability of small animals who depend upon our love, care and knowledge about them to survive. 

They're a gift of tiny companionship, so each bloom I painted represents the joy and happiness they gave me for a short time since flowers, too, have a fleeting existence.
